Film & Advertising Demo Reel

Bio

Thank you for taking the time to watch my reel. It consists of a few of the projects I was lucky to be part of over my career.

I started working as a CG artist in Paris in 1994, and later evolved into supervising roles, either as CG or VFX supervisor, and as consultant with various studios in Paris, London, New York and Los Angeles. My work has consisted of advertising and film mostly, as well as high end full CG game trailers, still imagery, game realtime FX supervision and mentoring. I am currently based in London.

My skill set includes: CG Supervision, VFX Supervision, Character Supervision, Animation Direction, Pre-production Prototyping, Client Facing.

My forte over the past 10 years has been lighting and creature supervision.

A little more about myself.. that or jump straight to the goodies next page!

When I first owned a computer, aged 12, I proceeded to encode 3D visualisations, in Basic and.. Assembler! if anyone remembers what that is… I was hooked, my approach of visual arts became pretty technical and at that point my drawing skills came to a halt.

When this passion later evolved into a full time job, what amazed me was the plurality of tools available within hand’s reach, I saw it as this fantastic multi disciplinary workbench, and I spent the next 20 years exploring it. I wanted to be as generalist as possible, covering as many applications of CG imagery as I could, and avoided specialisation.

Over the years however, a recurring theme unveiled a path in my career that I now wish to follow more actively: character/creature work. The projects in question include all kinds of fantasy creatures, humans, animals and insects, humanoid robots and.. a water drop, and they all made for the most successful and rewarding experiences. I acted as CG or VFX supervisor on all of them, with hands-on work focused on lighting/compositing and, in cases, animation and art direction.

Throughout my career I have evolved in my use and approach of visual arts and creativity, more specifically by deepening my drawing and photography skills. During my free time, I play piano, classical and jazz, and am an avid rock climber.
